Which key competences support on the way to a regenerative economy?

What were the success drivers for the mindset shift from a board’s perspective?

During the #wef24 in #davos2024, Shaperion’s CEO Sandra Schnyder met Dr. Mirjam Staub-Bisang, Head BlackRock Switzerland. The aim was to identify the #positive effects of the transition to a #regenerativeeconomy according to BlackRock, the #key #competences and the #success #factors for the necessary change in #mindset.

As a strong advocate for #sustainability and specifically #sustainable #investments for more than 20 years, Dr. Mirjam Staub-Bisang believes today, there is no way around incorporating sustainability and the transition to a #lowcarbon #economy into the #board’s strategic work across sectors. BlackRock as a fiduciary to its clients, the transition to a low-carbon and #regenerative economy is one of the key risks but also opportunities that will likely impact many of us, today and in the future.

Which key #competences support this journey?
🪄Maintaining a holistic perspective while focusing on material risks and opportunities in specific industries.
🪄Understanding what the transition means for growth, inflation and for the potential investment opportunities.

What were the success factors for the #mindsetshift from a board’s perspective?
🪄Assessing and quantifying risks.
🪄Being aware of how the transition will affect their sector in terms of risks and opportunities.

Technology, consumer preferences and policy changes are key drivers for the economic transformation.

Many thanks to Dr. Mirjam Staub-Bisang and BlackRock for these valuable insights.
